Welcome

Towards Evidence-Informed Practice (TEIP) aims to strengthen the effectiveness of local health promotion and chronic disease prevention initiatives by increasing the use of relevant evidence and creation of practice-based evidence.

TEIP features a set of three field-tested and rigorously evaluated tools and processes for Program Assessment, Program Evidence and Program Evaluation. TEIP tools provide practical, user-friendly and step-by-step guidance to:

  • Build confidence and skills to apply evidence and evaluation
  • Tailor your programs to your community's context and experience
  • Address organizational capacity issues
  • Strengthen health promotion programs and outcomes

TEIP tools are linked to requirements under the new Ontario Public Health Foundational Standards for Research and Knowledge Exchange and Program Evaluation.

Master Trainer Workshops, webinars and teleconferences will bring TEIP expertise and support to organizations engaged in health promotion and chronic disease prevention across Ontario.

If you are interested in bringing TEIP tools to your organization please contact:
