Dissemination
The TEIP project aims to disseminate information about best practices concepts, tools and research which are of practical relevance to health promotion and chronic disease prevention. The project originally set out to operationalize A Framework for Enhancing the Dissemination of Best Practices
developed by Dubois et al., (2004) that was concerned with dissemination and knowledge exchange processes. Dissemination methods were further refined in consultation with experts at the University of Waterloo (TEIP Dissemination Strategy - A Working Document
).
From 2005 - 2008 TEIP dissemination support was strategically allocated by audience and intensity as described in the TEIP Logic Model
and illustrated in the Dissemination Framework to Enhance the Uptake of Evidence-informed Practices
.
Beginning in July 2008, TEIP’s mandate was changed to provide Master Trainer Workshops across the province to health promotion organizations interested in using TEIP Tools to increase capacity for evidence-informed practices as well as to operationalize the new requirements under the Ontario Public Health Foundational Standard for research, knowledge exchange and program evaluation.
